Cornsilk
CORNSILK (Stigmata maidis) aka - Mothers Hair

Historically, cornsilk has been mainly used for uro-genital infections. It is believed that the use of cornsilk originates from Central America. Maizenic acid is claimed to be the active ingredient, acting mostly as a cardiac solution that stimulates diuretic action in the body. It is known to affect the bladder and kidneys and helps the liver and intestines as well. Cornsilk has been used for over a century for kidney problems, for acute and chronically inflamed bladders and the prostate gland. Cornsilk assists all phosphatic and uric acid build up and is especially useful in treating inflammatory conditions of the urethra, bladder and kidney, which are the cause of most malfunctions of the system due to uric acid retention. It is excellent for the aged with urinary troubles and is very helpful for the young troubled with bedwetting due to uncontrollable, swollen bladders.
